OBAMAAAAAAAAA!!!! Whoo hoo!!! Still celebrating? I am! Lol! Fresh Fete Friday NYC here we come ... or more like here comes everyone else! Lawd oye.. eeeefff yuh see folks on the outside trying to get in! It was an unbelievable turnout! I haven’t been to a Fresh Fete since last summer. This time however, it’s either folks from all ends of the earth were celebrating Obama’s victory or Fresh Fete Friday NYC needs a bigger venue or maybe both ... who knows? All I know is that after we trooped down those stairs it was like we walked into the third dimension ... heat in de place!!!

Gad dam it was like 20 degrees hotter than outside and wherever you landed you just needed to stay there! RAMCRAMJAMCRAMRAM!!! Yeah no space! You get my point! Hmph.. I put the thought of going to the bar out of my mind completely! Hmmm, if only I could have beamed myself over.

Anyway I managed to maneuver my way through the crowd, and what a work out that was. On my quest, I discovered the Holy Grail of cool air! I guess a lot of folks did not realize that there was a passageway on the outskirts of the dance floor It was dark, cool and inviting, however, it was apparently also lover’s lane ... heehee! I haven’t seen that much making out in a fete in a hot minute! Lol!

Anywho, some folks managed to have a great time it seemed. The Thief Head Crew (THC) was celebrating a few birthdays in the crew, dancing on tables and had the most fabulous cake. There was a crew popping bottles and another crew celebrating another birthday with cake and confetti and another crew winin low low low in the middle of the dance floor!!! smile In all the heat they had a time!

I have to say though the sound system was not that great and kept cutting in and out. That was the most disappointing. I mean, a fete could be hellified hot, but no one is going to leave if the music is sweet. However if the music sucks, then I’m out .. I don’t know about y’all. There were a couple sessions where most of the crowd was jamming for a bit though. I took two lil' chip and nearly fainted. Lol!

Ladies, y’all were fabulously on point! Fellas, these girls went all out from head to toe. The most popular silhouette for the evening was the strapless sheath and every one was showing lots of legs. I saw it in all colors and fabrics. The full tulle mini made a couple of appearances in a few colors also. Fellas, what can I say.. you make argyle look hot!

Folks, ultimately I had a good time, but I cannot forget the unbearable heat. I thought I was going to melt. THC I am looking forward to a bigger and better venue okay! Hugs! Till the next flex!
